Autism is a neurodivergent condition with various effects that vary from one individual to another. Although children and adults on the Autism Spectrum may share some common traits, there can be differences in:

The number and types of symptoms experienced
The severity of symptoms which can range from mild to severe
The age at which symptoms first appear
The levels of functioning
Difficulties experienced in social interactions.

Autism

The term “spectrum” refers to a range or continuum of impact level for those on the Autism Spectrum. However, it is important to note that Autism itself is not what acts to limit individuals, rather it is the lack of available resources and supports available.

Partnership with Autism Canada

Autism Canada is the only Canadian autism advocacy organisation with a national perspective on the issues currently facing those with ASD, their families and other stakeholders. Their programs include SARA (provides training materials to responders), family support and resources, MediAlert, educational conferences, and many more. All of EVRENs fundraising and awareness raising efforts will be directed towards this cause from Fall 2021 to Summer 2022!
